Locke and Key gets (another) pilot order
Story from Deadline
I never got into Locke and Key myself, but that's more just because I don't tend to get into horror comics that much. I'll read some here and there for reviews, but for the most part, they're just not my thing.
This could just be another stage of this show going through development hell, before people get their hopes up too much. The thing in its favor here is that Carlton Cuse strikes me as a surer bet than Josh Friedman, but there's really no guarantee. I like its chances, with Scott Derrickson being a horror director even though he's now best known for Doctor Strange.
An interesting change is that the series has ended - there was a one-shot in 2016, but other than that the series has been over for a few years now, which asn't the case when the last pilot was being made. There's a pretty solid plan for what the story is, and so long as they let it adapt to heing on TV and not stick slavishly to the comics, they can avoid one of the biggest mistakes of adaptation.
