Something is weird with Free Comic Book Day. Don't know what, not that bothered.

Something is weird with Free Comic Book Day. Don't know what, not that bothered.

The report from Bleeding Cool

The FCBD Committee recommends proposed comics have no more than one story with one back up, instead of anthology stories.
You are still free to submit the type of content you’d like; this is just what the committee recommends as they consider all applicants and their books.

Well, that's not a noncommittal stance at all. Especially since they also give advice for cover design for an anthology comic. It doesn't help that there's no explanation, leading to speculation instead of informed conversation.

Here is my unpopular opinion that people won't like: I'm not that interested in the free comics. The shops that I have gone to on Free Comic Book Day have had other things that I am interested in. Cheap back issues and trades had my interest. I honestly don't know if I've ever read any of the free comics I've picked up.

So, I'm torn. I don't think it will affect me much, but this should have an explanation, even a bad one. At least then there's something to talk about, not just baseless speculation.
